DA DUCTTAPE GANG
Duct Tape Gang: Phifty Caliber, Loco Motion, and Gato (B.G. Cat): More than a group, they are like brothers, bonded like “duct tapeâ€.Born, Darryl, Johnny, and Jamar, raised in southern California,on some of the toughest streets these three guys met during high school and been hanging together ever since. With their bright personalities they just fit together. Phifty being the cool, calm, and collective “most of the timeâ€. Loco, the wild outgoing but in a fun type of way, and Gato quiet, but crazy and as slick as a cat. Yet they all had a wild side and had to do what was necessary to survive in the streets. Life was never easy but one thing they had in common was music.. For these three, it became natural. And around the age of 17 and Growing up in southern California, they grew up around the greatest artist in the industry, including the late great godfather of gangster rap Eazy-E who played a major role with them in the rap scene. Working with rap artist B.G.Knocc out who started a group B.G.Clicc which included Loco, and B.G.Cat who was also relative of B.G .Knocc out. The letters B.G. Stands forâ€baby gangsta†Eazy saw a future for the group and was very impressed with the projects he was putting together, after his long time success with being involved with N.W.A. And the success from introducing the group Bone Thugs n Harmony which later became the greatest rap group in history along with Grammy Awards under their belt. They were actually the groups first friends when they moved to California Things started looking bright for the group, then the blow to the music industry hit with the death of Eazy-E, which both Knoccout and B.G.Cat where there in the studio with Eazy when his lungs collapsed. B.G.Cat and Loco thought their dreams may have been crushed , due to the fact the group and its projects ended up being put to the side as they helped in the support of pushing Bone Thugs n Harmony. As far Phifty Caliber, he was good friends with Flesh whom also gave him the name while talking about styles of guns and the power of a 50 caliber. Flesh brought him into the scene. At the time Flesh was working with two different groups which involved Phifty. And in 1996 during the “Cross Roads†video shoot, Duct Tape Gang came together. Under the name F.B.I. for Flesh n Bone Inc.they began working on many different projects mainly with Bone, but in 1999, another set back for the group, Flesh n Bone was sent to prison. So although the group stayed together they just continued to support the B.T.N.H. Family. And 10 years later in 2009, Flesh n Bone was released from prison and the groups energy sparked again and changed the name from FBI to Flesh n Bone Global. DTG has overcome many different obstacles and set backs, they too have been blessed. They have traveled all across the country performing on hundreds of stages with Flesh n Bone and Bone Thugs along with, many artist such as,the Game, DJ Quik and Suga Free just to name a few. With many years in the industry and a lot of hard work put in they still feel they are a work in progress and continue to grow. Building a more solid fan base and giving the fans what they want, from energetic performances to socializing with fans they have shown their maturity as artist, and are ready to show the world they have arrived.
